Rainbow Fishing Game

A local customer requested the fishing game after seeing a fishing game pinned on Pinterest. The pin she referenced did not have a pattern tied to it…it was something being sold by an Etsy shop.
I told her that I would gladly create a fishing game for her grandson, but only if she agreed to let me make it in my style. She agreed to let me do it. I went through 3 different designs for the fish before I finally settled on the heart-shape for the tailfin and crocheting the fish in two pieces.
This fun fishing game is perfect for older toddlers who are learning to colors and counting. The first thing my 4 year old did was count the fish. He knows his colors really well, so we played a game where we put some colored cards face-down on the floor, then he had to fish for whatever color card he turned over. This proved a more difficult task than I expected and it’s definitely a great game for a child his age to learn and practice hand/eye co-ordination.
I hope this pattern makes you smile! You are free to sell items made from the pattern. My only request is that you direct people to my blog or Etsy shop when selling items.
