Half Hour Cowl

Full Description

My husband’s grandmother is a piano teacher and she requested a short, warm scarf with a button that she could wear with her winter coat. That’s how this design was born. I wanted something simple, but elegant.

My favorite thing about this design is all of the options!

Yarn Options

  1. Double-strand of Worsted Weight
  2. Single strand of bulky

Length Options

  1. Short
  2. Long

Finishing Options

  1. Cowl (ends are sewn together)
  2. Buttoned Scarf (a few borders rows are worked along the short side)
  3. A traditional scarf

It really only takes a half hour to make the short version. The longer version takes approximately one hour from start to finish. This is an awesome last-minute gift or you could even plan to make them not only for your children’s teachers, but the bus driver, too.

Absolutely gorgeous. Does anyone know if this patter is available in knitted style cowl. My daughter found this pattern and since I don’t crochet, am looking for a knitted one similar.
